a girl's gotta start somewhere...
A small range of my handmade items is now available at Crafters Cove in Benoni. If you are not familiar with this little gift shop, please head to corner Main & Bayley in Farrarmere to take a look! They have some tasty homebaked goods, jams & chutneys, as well as jewelery & other crafts which the ladies have put a lot of energy into creating. Think about looking local & supporting the individual...
You can contact Crafters Cove on 011 849 9588 for any queries!

straight out of benoni
I've put off starting a blog for ages now and to be honest, it is for two main reasons:
firstly; I am a bit of technology-phobe (not very common for my generation) & secondly; I have always had the impression that blogging is a hobbie for the self-absorbed. As I am getting older, however, I cannot discount the benefits of the internet. I've also decided that passing one's time sewing by candlelight or spending weekends operating a fleamarket stall are not as enjoyable or fruitful as one would expect. I do prefer to keep things as simple as humanly possible, even though I would really love to leave electricity & computers out of the equation, it seems like the internet is the way of the future. I can sit at my desk, in front of my laptop...process orders, walk to the post office just up the road, send parcels off to clients...& I don't even have to leave Benoni!
